Project Description
The iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground underwent a transformative redevelopment as part of the Marylebone Cricket Club’s (MCC) visionary plan. Executed over a two-year phased construction program by ISG, the project centered on the construction of two new three-tiered stands flanking the J.P. Morgan Media Centre. This strategic addition not only increased the seating capacity by 2,600 but also introduced modern facilities, improved accessibility, and enhanced amenities.
The new stands, a testament to MCC's commitment to innovation and future-proofing, elevated the stadium's capacity to 31,000, featuring 400 Debenture seats, associated dining facilities, twelve food and beverage outlets, and two hospitality restaurants. The redevelopment of the Compton and Edrich stands forms an integral part of MCC's continuous efforts to innovate and enhance the club, the historic ground, and the overall game.
ISG appointed MSS to deliver a comprehensive site solutions package, ensuring the seamless execution of logistics, traffic management, supply of operatives and tradesmen, and waste management. MSS's logistics management teams further provided critical site setup, welfare cabins, traffic and delivery management, and site security. The Lord’s Cricket Ground Redevelopment not only adds to the legacy of this historic venue but also exemplifies MSS's role in supporting the delivery of complex, high-profile projects with precision and efficiency.
