McLaren Construction took on the formidable task of the £100 million contract to reclad four towers on the Chalcots Estate in Swiss Cottage, London NW3. Following the Grenfell disaster, this high-rise estate became the first to be identified with defective cladding, prompting a comprehensive recladding initiative. The project also included a separate deal for the unique Blashford Tower due to its structural differences from the other blocks.

Starting the pre-construction phase promptly, McLaren leveraged completed technical designs, surveys, and specifications. Commencing in early 2022, the installation of new cladding began six months later, with concurrent work on two towers forming a well-coordinated schedule.

Munnelly Support Services (MSS) played a pivotal role in ensuring the project's success. Offering a comprehensive logistics package, MSS managed on-site operations, coordinated with trade contractors through daily briefings, and facilitated a full security package, including CCTV, door access staff, and control systems.

Additionally, MSS provided labour, managed common user spaces, and oversaw signage and barrier management. The project logistics included a designated vehicle holding area, traffic management, and coordination of multi-service gangs, showcasing MSS's commitment to efficiency and safety in a project of substantial scale and importance.
