Our waste management strategy involves collaborating with contractors to implement an effective plan, focusing on the following:
- Encouraging trade contractors to adhere to the project’s waste management and recycling policy, promoting proactive waste clearance to maintain a clean & tidy site.
- Providing sufficient waste collection facilities, including wheelie bins at agreed positions and designated points on each building level.
- Transporting waste from collection points to segregation/collection/holding areas for off-site disposal.
- Removing waste to approved recycling centers for material separation and recycling.
- Maintaining clean and unobstructed waste collection/holding areas to ensure safety for operatives.
- Managing trade contractor waste through the issuance of clear-up notices, providing 24 hours for rectification in most cases.
- Implementing an efficient contra charge notification system involving daily photographic evidence collation and electronic issuing to defaulting contractors.
- Presenting the contra charge notification to you for approval before we clean up on the trade contractor’s behalf.
